Sites that offer single ladies from Russia are in-combat in Federal Court
Online dating company Anastasia International accused EM Online Ltd. dba Elena’s Models with brand transgression, false advertising, tortious interference and unfair competition, in the New York Federal Court. Anastasia utilizes the internet domain names Anastasiadate and Anastasiadate.com for its webpage. EM Online is headquartered in Australia.
“The company leading this particular lawsuit, Anastasia, provide a service by which males from the United States are matched up with women from Russia or Ukraine. Essentially the most highly targeted part of the United States is New York”, states the statement. “As a consequence, the two internet sites concentrate on the identical area, which means that both of these are contending for the exact same potential customers, with regards to the U.S Market. We’ve the required data to assume that EM Online either is managing, or is supporting, web sites called: ‘anastasiadatefraud.com’ and ‘ruadventures.com’. Both of these websites disguise the identity of their owners by using a proxy service. Despite this, they “coincidentally” redirect viewers to elenasmodels.com. These websites accuse Anastasiadate of thoroughly perpetuating scams and deceptive deceptions upon their customers, and then suggest that the clients use Elena’s Models, which allegedly does not follow these procedures. “The anastasiadatefraud.com website purports to show extracts from e-mails authored by women with profiles on Anastasiadate.com. The e-mail extracts all have a common message – ladies featured on Anastasiadate.com are not truly trying to find a relationship with men from the U.S., but alternatively are contract workers paid to correspond with Anastasia clients and break their hearts. These claims are false, and also the emails from the women appear to be fake. Anastasiadate’s clients are guaranteed that the women they’re talking to are 100% genuine women.”
The complaint says that EM Online are voluntarily false advertising, since they know that what they are saying is bogus, and that the email messages were composed with the only motive of wrongly halting Anastasiadate’s business. Quite unjustly, Elena’s Models is using ruadventures.com to ward off any competition so that it can prosper at their expense. “This site, despite claiming to be a forum focused on reviewing online dating sites, is in fact noted to be quite picky as it promotes Elena’s Models solely while trying to damage other businesses. The site retains lots of false advertisement about Anastasiadate, that has in the long run been mucked around with by EM Online,” or so the accusation says.
Ruadventures.com has unlawfully used elements of Anastasia’s copyrighted logo, as outlined by Anastasia. “Through self referential tags, while using Anastasia’s trademarks, the websites are now linked to Anastasiadate, which has made them popular search engine results,” the accusation says. Anastasia is seeking a primary and long-lasting injunction, and treble and punitive damages. Yeskoo Hogan & Tamlyn’s Richard C. Yeskoo is standing for the plaintiff.
Anastasiadate.com gives American men the opportunity to meet “many of the Earth’s most beautiful women!” “You can’t find a better dating service any place else,” the internet site claims. It describes itself as “your most effective approach to a stack of replies, authentic and affectionate ladies, 24/7 customer care and security.”
On anastasiadatefraud.com, an anon author claims that he knows everything about the website. Anastasiadate pays women to log in and pose as single women seeking love, and are paid for this by the same company, according to him. He knows this just because a Ukrainian girl that had been chatting with him actually revealed these secrets. For chatting and emailing men, these women are promised a high income along with other benefits. The only real listed qualifications are to be 18 or older, to know English, and to understand how to utilize a computer, according to the website.
According to the same writer, the lady recommended Elena’s Models since, according to her, was a much more professional site.
